The Bishop has issued the Si Quis (Banns of Ordination) for the ordination to the priesthood of The Reverend Mark Morgan, Assistant Curate of St Alban the Martyr, Salford, Greater Manchester. deacon Morgan will be ordained priest on the Ember Saturday in Lent, being 24th day of February, 2024. The service will take place at the Pro-Cathedral of St Augustine of Canterbury, Eastling Road, Painters Forstal, Kent ME13 0DU.
Deacon Morgan has undertaken a continued course of study since his ordination to the diaconate in December 2022. This has been overseen by the Diocesan Board of Ministry and Education. Following his successful completion of the programme of study he was awarded, by the Theology Department of the Victoria College of Music and Drama, London, the Diploma of Licentiate in Theology. The Diploma will be presented to him by Bishop Mead, during his episcopal visitation to St Alban the Martyr, Salford, on 5th November 2023.
