The Bishop is pleased to announce that he has appointed The Very Revd Jonathan Munn as Canon Theologian to the Ordinary. Fr Jonathan has a master’s degree and a doctorate in Mathematics from the University of Warwick, and a master’s degree and doctorate in Theology from the Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi Christian University (JHPCU) Miami, Florida, USA. He is a Fellow in Theology at the Victoria College of Music in London and a Fellow and Adjunct Instructor in the Faculty of Theology at the JHPCU.
Fr Munn also serves as Secretary to our Diocesan Board of Ministry and Education. He is the author of numerous works including, “Anglican Catholicism: Unchanging Faith in a Changing World”, “Whom Seek Ye?” and “Anglican Catholic Moral Theology”.
After serving in the Church of England from 2003 as a Lay Reader, Fr Munn joined the ACC in June 2011 and was deaconed in 2012 and priested in 2013 by Bishop Mead. He served in the Anglican Catholic Church of Our Lady of Walsingham and St Francis Rochester, Kent from 2012 to 2016 and was appointed Dean of the Northern Deanery in April 2022.
In his secular work, he has been a mathematics research fellow before becoming a schoolmaster.
