On the Feast of Christ the King, October 30, Fr Raymond Thompson made his Archdeacon’s Visitation to the parish of Our Lady of Walsingham and S. Francis, Rochester. At the invitation of parish priest Fr Jonathan Munn, the Archdeacon celebrated and preached. There was a warm sense of familiarity about the occasion, as this was Fr Thompson’s former parish and he and Fr Munn were a double act for some time. It is sadly a scene that will not be repeated as Fr Munn and his family are off to pastures new in Sheffield in the New Year.
