The Parish of St Alban the Martyr, Salford, Lancashire celebrated in a special way on Sunday 7th November 2010, being the XXIII Sunday in Trinitytide and in the Octave of All Saints, when the Very Revd Charles Johnson presented the Revd Jim Petty with a Medal of St Charles, King and Martyr, in thanks and appreciation for his service to the Anglican Catholic Church.

Father Petty, who has suffered from ill health for sometime, was presented with the medal during the Sunday morning Mass. The choice of St Charles, K & M, was particularly appropriate because for some years Fr Petty has had the cure of a provisional ACC Mission dedicated to the Martyr King in Burnley.

He is pictured above with Father Johnson who celebrated the Mass.
