On Saturday 24th February 2024, being the Ember Saturday in Lent, The Right Revd Damien Mead ordained The Reverend Mark Morgan as a priest in the Church of God.
St Augustine’s Church, Painters Forstal, Nr Faversham, Kent, welcomed a congregation, including those from Fr Morgan’s new Mission of St Osmund, Dudley, West Midlands.
The joyous celebration was followed by a delicious lunch provided by St Augustine’s. The Bishop was assisted by the Venerable Raymond Thompson, Archdeacon, who presented Fr Morgan, and The Very Revd’s Andrew Scurr and Jonathan Munn who deaconed and subdeaconed the Pontifical High Mass. The Organist was Mr Louis Collins and Cantor Mr Barnabas Sharp. Fr Miles Maylor, from South Wales, joined the other clergy in laying hands with the bishop at the ordination.
