On Saturday 12th October the Bishop visited the Church of Our lady of Walsingham and St Francis of Assisi, Rochester, Kent for their 2013 Patronal Festival. The weather was fine on the day and the usual procession in honour of Our Lady started the proceedings with Mr Colin Rumens carrying the Parish Banner in procession.
After the Pontifical Sung Mass at which the Bishop preached refreshments were served including 2 delicious cakes in a friendly 'Bake Off' made by the parishioners which the Bishop judged to be joint firsts! After sampling each to make it fair of course!
The day ended with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament given by the Parish Priest, The Venerable Raymond Thompson.
