Bishop Steven Ayule-Milenge of the Diocese of the Congo is seeking funds to build a primary school a dedicated primary school that will serve as a sanctuary for learning and growth in Bagira. This includes clearing the area in front of four existing ad hoc classrooms constructed from planks. The school also requires a robust retaining wall to secure a playground for the children.
As part of their fundraising campaign Fr Miles Maylor and the Parish of St Asaph and St Deiniol have generously managed to raise £1000 towards the building costs of this project. This goes some way to the £9,000 needed for this project to develop.
