The XXXIII Synod of the Diocese of the United Kingdom held at the Cathedral Church of St Augustine of Canterbury, Painters Forstal, Kent, on Saturday 10th May 2025, being the Feast of St Damien of Molokai. During the Synod Mass, The Right Revd Damien Mead Confirmed Mr Christopher Scott.
After Mass and the lunchtime buffet, the bishop presented Mr Louis Collins, organist at the cathedral for the past 4 years, with his Bishop’s Award for exemplary lay service to the Church.
During the Synod Business meeting the Bishop also presented Mr Lee Wilson with the ACC’s chief Scouting Award, The Order of St Michael, which had arrived only two days before from the Archbishop’s office in the USA.
The Synod was a good opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones.
