The Bishop is pleased to announce that he has appointed The Very Revd Canon Jonathan Munn as Dean of the Cathedral Church of St Augustine of Canterbury, Painters Forstal, Kent. Father Munn, who is currently Dean of the Northern Deanery in the Diocese, and also serves as Secretary to the Diocesan Board of Ministry and Education, is to relocate in the next few weeks to Kent, where he will take up a teaching position at a school in a nearby town. The Bishop will install Fr Munn as Dean of the Cathedral at a service in the late Spring. Bishop Mead, St Augustine’s founding Rector, will be able to relinquish his duties as Rector and focus on his role as Diocesan Bishop through this appointment. The Venerable Raymond Thompson, Archdeacon and Honorary Assistant Priest at St Augustine’s, will continue to provide his invaluable assistance.
