XXXII Synod Of the Diocese of the United Kingdom, Anglican Catholic Church. Feast of St Monica, 4th May 2024.
Gathering at the Pro-Cathedral Church of St Augustine of Canterbury, Painters Forstal, Kent, the Diocesan delegates began the day’s agenda at a Pontifical High Mass, preceded by the reception of Nicola Thompson into the full communion of the ACC and the Confirmation of Ben Nolan, Diane Smith and Michael Smith.
The Theme of this year’s Synod was “ACC Vision”.
The Bishop celebrated the Mass, assisted by Fr Jonathan Munn as deacon, Fr Andrew Scurr as sub deacon (who also preached) and Fr Raymond Thompson as MC. Fr Mark Morgan was crucifer, Dr Roy Hipkiss Thurifer, assisted by Aiden as Boat Boy. Mr Louis Collins was Organist and Mr Barnabas Sharp was Cantor.
The joyous celebration was followed by a light lunch and refreshments in the Fyfe-Graham Parish Room and the business meeting followed in Church.
The Bishop’s Award for 2024 for exemplary Lay Service and Commitment to the work of the ACC was bestowed upon Mr Ronald Holme.
