The Diocese has received the very sad news that Pat Johnson, the dear wife of Canon Charles Johnson, (St Alban the Martyr, Salford, Greater Manchester) passed to her eternal rest on 17th November 2023. She was fortified by the Last Rites and surrounded by her family and friends.
XIX Diocesan Synod – April 2010
At the Synod Meeting the Bishop bestowed his Annual Bishop’s Award for exemplary Lay service to Mrs Patricia Johnson, (St Alban’s Salford)
Pat was a wonderful, faithful Christian lady who worked hard for her parish and the Diocese, receiving the Bishop’s Award in 2010 for her service and dedication. She will be much missed by Canon Johnson and her family, their parish and the whole diocese.
Please pray for the repose of her soul.
Pat was a beautiful warm and faithful lady who showed me much love and care, both when I attended St Albans and since I moved from Manchester. I am grateful I was able to see her in September and share a short time with her and Father Charles. I am sure Pat will have heard the Lord say “well done good and faithful servant” as she entered His presence. I am not able to attend the funeral but I said my thoughts, prayers and love to Father Charles, the family and my friends at St Albans.
