The Diocese sends its congratulations to Bishop Damien Mead and, ACC layman Mr Roy Hipkiss, who have been recognised with the Award of the Cross of Merit from the Internationale Pestalozzi Gesellschaft (International Pestalozzi Society) in Switzerland, for services to children with disabilities. They serve as the directors and co-founders of Credo Care Ltd, an Independent Fostering Agency which specialises in the care of children and young people with disabilities and complex medical needs, since August 2000.
Commenting on the award they said “We are so grateful, honoured and very appreciative that Credo Care’s work with disabled children has been recognised by the International Pestalozzi Society with the society’s Cross of Merit. We would like to accept this award on behalf of all the exceptional carers and staff who share in our vision and have worked so hard to help turn it into a successful reality.”
