On Saturday 23rd June Bishop Mead visited the Church of Our Lady and St Edward, Bolton, to celebrate Mass and preach. After Mass some of those attending enjoyed a splendid lunch at a nearby restaurant. In the evening the Bishop had a meeting with a group exploring future affiliation with the ACC.
On Sunday 24th June the Bishop visited St Alban the Martyr, Salford where once again he celebrated Mass and preached. Although the Feast was that of the Nativity of St John the Baptist the parish was keeping its Patronal Festival that Sunday so St John was commemorated. A good congregation of 18 people enjoyed a buffet lunch afterwards. Following the Mass the Bishop met with the Right Reverend John Milnes of the Holy Catholic Church (Western Rite) informally, to discuss matters of mutual interest.
On Sunday afternoon The Bishop travelled to Sheffield to visit Fr Jonathan and Mrs Katherine Munn who are beginning the Provisional Mission of St Anselm & St Odile locally. After this the Bishop had a meeting with a deacon who is awaiting the regularisation of his position within the ACC.
