The Funeral Service and Requiem Mass for Diana Gillian Parry, a founding member of our Canterbury parish was held today, Wednesday 18th November 2015. The Bishop presided and was celebrant at the Mass assisted by Fr Raymond Thompson (the Archdeacon) at the Church and for the Commital at the Crematorium.Catherine Begley, the Church’s Cantor sang beautifully and Andrew Butler on the organ greatly enhanced our worship.

Donations had been suggested to be sent to the Dogs Trust Charity in lieu of flowers – but Bishop Damien couldn’t resist one single floral tribute from the Parish for dear Gillian – he said he liked to think, given her 97 year love of dogs, she would have appreciated this little flower doggie – we think he is right!
+ Rest eternal grant unto her, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
