On Saturday 25th August 2012 Bishop Mead hosted his annual Garden Party for the Constitutional Monarchy Association’s Kent Group of which he is Chairman, at his home in Kent. Members of the CMA were joined by Church members, neighbours and friends and the weather was kind and the garden, despite being rather damp, was enjoyed by all. The party coincided with a visit from The Right Revd Rommie Starks, Bishop of the ACC Diocese of the MidWest, USA, and he was invited to draw the raffle tickets for the Groups annual party raffle. Some 62 people joined in with event and at the end of the day during the singing of the National Anthem a special verse, originally written for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubliee, was included. (Raffle Prizes were displayed on the snooker table in Bishop Mead’s Library)
