On Monday 4th June 2012, our Canterbury Parish, St Augustine’s, celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, with participation in a neighbourhood Street Party in Best Lane, outside the Church.
Despite the threat of rain the event stayed dry and members of the congregation (pictured outside the Church) served tea, coffee and cold drinks to those attending. The Church was open throughout the day and welcomed many visitors and the organist, Ed Hampton, played a selection of traditional and appropriate music.
