On Wednesday 1st September 2010 Bishop Damien Mead blessed and dedicated the newly established Canterbury Church Shop, 13 Orange Street, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2JA.

The Manager, Richard Mulholland, was commissioned during the 12 noon Mass at the Anglican Catholic Church of St Augustine, Best Lane, Canterbury (just round the corner from the Church) and afterwards led by the Bishop, the congregation processed to the shop. After the short act of blessing and dedication those assembled enjoyed a glass of Bucks Fizz and a slice of a specially prepared cake to celebrate the shop’s opening.

The Shop will normally be open from 9am to 5.30pm Tuesday to Saturday. The shop also plans, in good time for Christmas, an online shop at www.canterburychurchshop.co.uk

The Canterbury Church Shop has been established to the Glory of God and to fulfil 3 main aims: To celebrate Canterbury’s Christian heritage in an increasingly secular and liberal age. To serve the wider Christian Community and to promote the Anglican Catholic Church.
