On Saturday 28th November the Provisional Mission of Our Lady & St Edward, Bolton, celebrated the Mission’s first Mass. Howard Marsh, Lay Reader, said “it was a spiritual, uplifting experience for all who attended”. Mr Marsh continued “Bolton Council have been very helpful in providing us with the Victory Community Centre which proved absolutely ideal. One of my neighbours made the altar for me, which although portable, is steady and sturdy. We had 8 communicants and although only two of us were from Bolton, it is a start and that is what matters isn’t it?”

Father Timothy Perkins, celebrated the Mass and the Dean of the North, The very Revd Charles Johnson preached on the theme of standing against the World and for the Faith, in the manner of St Edward and the Lady Richeldis and later, Fr Hope-Patten.

The next Mass is on Saturday 19th December.
