Bishop Mead visited St Alban the Martyr, Salford on the above date and licenced and inducted the Very Revd Charles Johnson as Dean of the Northern Deanery of the Diocese of the United Kingdom. After Mass the Bishop met members of the congregation and a bring and share lunch was enjoyed by everyone. In the afternoon Fr Tim Perkins the curate presided over an Advent Carol Service, although the Bishop sadly had to return before the service to the train station to journey home.
