Provincial Synod 1999

The XIII Provincial Synod was held in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA in October 1999 and four representatives from the DUK attended. Deacon David Haste, Rhona McEune, Richard Karn and Averil Hall (all from St Brhtwolds Church, Worton, Nr Devizes, Wiltshire). The Synod saw the election and enthronement of The Most Revd John Thayer Cahoon Jnr as Metropolitan Archbishop of the Original Priovince. On the last evening of Synod the delegates from the Diocese of the United Kingdom presented Archbishop Cahoon with a small statue of Our Lady of Walsingham.
