On 1st August 1992 Father Leslie Hamlett was consecrated as the first Bishop Ordinary of the Anglican Catholic Church’s newly erected Missionary Diocese of England and Wales.
Bishop Hamlett was ordained in the Church of England in 1962 and, after two curacies, served as a parish priest for seventeen years. Together with his entire congregation, he left the Church of England in 1983. He was consecrated by
