New Frontal and Curtains
The military chapel used by the parish of Our Lady and Saint Francis in Rochester has just undergone a complete redecoration inside and out. The work, which took nearly three weeks, was commissioned by the Royal Engineers. New riddel curtains, donated by Mrs Victoria Farrant and made by Mrs Carol Thompson, have been installed and Mrs Thompson has also made a new green altar frontal. This has replaced the well-worn one which had originally been in use at Saint Brihtwold's church in Worton, Wiltshire until its closure in 2002, when it came into the possession of the Rochester parish. The new frontal and curtains were blessed before Mass on Sunday 21 August.
