The 'Legend' of St Thomas Becket is on the wall!

The Canterbury Church Shop & Pilgrims' Refectory in the historic Conquest House, 17 Palace Street, Canterbury, Kent, has 'sealed' it's connection with the events leading up to the Martyrdom of St Thomas Becket by displaying a copy of an Icon depicting the event and by describing the part that the site of Conquest House played on that winters evening on 29th December 1170.

Bishop Damien Mead especially thanked one talented individual, he said: "My deep appreciation to Mrs Eduina Foulkes, wife of Matt Foulkes, my Company's Digital Marketing Manager, who has worked so hard to turn an idea of mine into reality. The 'legend' of Conquest House, home to our Church Shop in Canterbury, with its unique link to the martyrdom of St Thomas Becket is now on the wall for all to see."

The Shop is closed on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation but the Refectory is open 7 days a week.
