We have created this vestibule area at the back of Church. Leaflets and prayers cards, a guestbook and a map of the UK showing the location of ACC Missions and Parishes.
New Organ
A Wersi Organ donated to St Augustine's by a Roman Catholic friend of the Parish Miss Barbara Markham in May 2009.
Update: This organ has since been replaced with a new Organ (March 2012). The Wersi has been retired to another ACC Mission.

Pic 1: Relic of the Veil of Our Lady
Feast of the Assumption, 15th August 2009, Bishop Mead blessed a new display case within which he placed a Relic of the Veil of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The relic was presented to the parish and originates from Belgium. It is accompanied by a document of authentication dated 1909.

Deacon Received 8th Nov 2010
The Revd Michael Colin Clothier, was received into the full Communion of the ACC on 8th November from the TAC (Traditional Anglican Communion) at the morning Mass at St Augustine's Church, Best Lane, Canterbury. Deacon Clothier has a Mission in Devon.
Ordination 'Sub Conditione' Dec 2009
Sunday 6th December 2009, being the Second Sunday in Advent and a Commemoration of St Nicholas, the Rt Revd Damien Mead conferring Holy Orders sub conditione ordained The Revd Michael Colin Clothier to the diaconate. The Very Revd Raymond Thompson, Dean of the Southern Deanery, presented the candidate and assisted the Bishop.

Redecoration of the Church
In February 2010 the Church was redecorated. In part to make good water damage due to a leaking roof in late 2008 and early 2009. The Sanctuary ceiling has been painted blue.

On Saturday 26th June 2010 the Bishop ordained The Revd Michael Colin Clothier to the Sacred Priesthood at St Augustine's Church to serve as Priest in Charge of the Mission of St Benedict, South Molton, Devon. On the Third Sunday after Easter (Sunday 15th May) The Bishop received Michael John Sheehan into the Full Communion of the Anglican Catholic Church from the Church of England. The reception took place at St Augustine's Church, Best Lane, Canterbury before the Parish Sung Mass at 11am.

On Whitsunday (12th June 2011) the Bishop received into the full communion of the Anglican Catholic Church, Dr Jonathan Munn, from the Church of England. The reception was held immediately before the Sunday Mass at St Augustine's Church, Canterbury.
New Lay Reader
On Whitsunday (Sunday 12th June 2011) The Bishop licensed Robert William Leone as a Lay Reader for the Parish of St Augustine, Canterbury.
Mr Leone, who is originally from Australia, is a school master in the City of Canterbury and was received into the ACC in May from the Roman Catholic Church. He was previously a Lay Reader in the Anglican Church in Australia.

March 2012. A 'new' Church Organ was installed in the Church.
The organ is a Johannus Opus 220 organ. It has two manuals and a full standard pedal board. Tonal quality is excellent.

Holy Week Reception 2012
On Wednesday 4th April 2012 the Bishop received into the full communion of the Anglican Catholic Church, Mr Stuart Charles Trotter, OBE. Mr Trotter joins the ACC from the Roman Catholic Church. The reception took place before the annual Chrism Mass during which the Bishop blessed the Holy Oils for use in the Diocese during the coming year.

On Saturday 26th May 2012 Bishop Mead blessed a new Icon of St Augustine of Canterbury, presented to him by his Aunt, Mrs Daphne Mead, who had promised him a gift (her own work) for his Consecration in September 2008.

On Trinity XVII (Sunday 30th September 2012) we celebrated our Harvest Thanksgiving.The flowers were arranged by Bishop Damien's mother Margaret in memory of her late mother Alice, who would have celebrated her 93rd birthday the day before.

On 3rd April 2013, being the Wednesday in Easter Week, The Right Revd Damien Mead baptised Isabella Nainiss, infant daughter of Karina Lemeseva and Artis Nainiss at St Augustine's Church, Canterbury, Kent. The Godparents were Dana Lipina and German Kolcinskis. The family are originally from Latvia but now live and work in Canterbury.

On Sunday 22nd December 2013 the Parish once again celebrated its annual carol Service. After decorating the Church.

An unexpected casualty of the dreadful weather over Christmas 2013 at Church appeared to be our hanging sign ... Although to be honest we have a feeling that it was helped by human hands. The bolts holding the frame to the wall had been wrenched out - The Bishop said he thinks someone may have been doing a drunken Tarzan impression. We had to take it down so, uniquely the preparation for the First Mass of Christmas involved Server, Roy Hipkiss, doing a gymnastic display atop a ladder!

"Churching of Women" June 2014
On Trinity Sunday, 15th June 2014, Bishop Mead officiated at the occasional office of The Churching of Women from the Book of Common Prayer at St Augustine's Church, Canterbury, Kent.
A beautiful baby boy Phineas David Mountjoy was brought to Church by his proud parents Simon and Mary Lynne Mountjoy and his delightful sisters Rosie and Susanna

On Sunday 13th July 2014, the Bishop received into the full communion of the Anglican Catholic Church the Revd Dr Miles Edward Maylor. The reception took place before the Parish Mass at St Augustine's Church, Canterbury, Kent. Fr Maylor also made his canonical oaths to the Bishop before the congregation.

On Monday 4th August at St Augustine's Church, Canterbury, Kent, the Bishop offered a solemn Requiem Mass for the repose of the War Dead of the Great War.

On Saturday 29th November, being the Vigil of St Andrew, The Right Revd Damien Mead, Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of the United Kingdom, in St Augustine's Church, Best Lane, Canterbury, Kent, conditionally confirmed and received into the full communion of the ACC, Mr Harry Ralph Bendelow, from the Anglican Church in Wales.

On Advent Sunday (30th November 2014) the Bishop licensed Mr Harry Ralph Bendelow as a Lay Reader for the Diocese, to serve in the ACC Mission in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
