Parish and Mission Changes

At the Diocesan Synod on Saturday 4th May 2019, Fr Gregory Wassen, priest in charge of the Provisional Mission of St Boniface, Orvelte, in the Netherlands spoke briefly about his Chaplaincy at the Mission and how it was developing now that he had a permanent home for it and requested Synod that the Mission might be granted full Mission status. All Agreed and the Bishop was delighted to welcome St Boniface as a full Mission.
It was also agreed that Our Lady of Walsingham and St Francis, Rochester revert back to its former independent status of a Parish with Fr Andrew Scurr as Priest in Charge with immediate effect. The Bishop said that he intended to visit the Parish in Rochester later in the year to formally induct Fr Scurr as the Parish Priest.
