On Saturday 2nd September the Bishop was in Chatham to judge a Children’s Fancy Dress competition – part of a fundraising event to help Homeless people in Medway.
Remarking that it was “a good and worthy cause” the bishop awarded prizes to the three best dressed children – although everyone participating got a small token of recognition.
Fr Jeen Thomas (priest in charge of our Medway Church – Our Lady of Walsingham & St Francis, Fort Pitt, City Way, Rochester) was also in attendance.
The event had been organised by TaraMartins Community Project a local Charity helping the homeless people of Medway.
