A Franciscan Cross for Rochester

Currently the Church in Rochester is closed for redecoration, inside and out, and a certain amount of reordering before Fr Jeen Thomas takes over the Parish at Easter.
Co-dedicated, as it is, to St Francis of Assisi the Bishop thought that a San Damiano Crucifix constructed to grace the sanctuary of the Church, would enhance the Chapel's interior.
Commenting he said "Having checked out the cost of a shop bought Icon of sufficient size I decided that it would be more cost effective to create one ourselves. So purchasing an appropriate sized poster and digging out some plywood from my garden shed, the clever Mr Andy Hall, (under my minimal direction), turned my conceptualisation into the finished product!"
