On Sunday 30th October, Bishop Damien Mead, visited The ACC Mission of Our Lady & St Edward, K&C, in Bolton, Greater Manchester to celebrate Mass and preach at the Mission’s Patronal Celebration.
Assisted by the Mission’s Priest in Charge, Fr Howard Marsh and the Assistant Curate, Deacon Roger Bell, the liturgical celebration included commemoration of both the Missions Patrons but also the Sunday of Christ the King (being the Last Sunday in October – which is the traditional place for this commemoration) and Trinity XXIII.

Before Mass at 10.30am there was Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9.30am-10.15am. During the Mass the Bishop blessed a Monstrance which he then presented to Fr Howard Marsh as a gift to the Mission.

After the service some of those attending went on to a parish lunch in a nearby Restaurant where a delicious lunch was enjoyed.

The small but growing and enthusiastic congregation welcomes all people of goodwill to join with them in worship in the Sanctuary of the magnificent Church of All Souls, Astley Street, Bolton, BL1 8EY.
