On Trinity III, Sunday 12th June 2016, during Mass, Bishop Mead, Rector of St Augustine’s Church, Canterbury, performed the office of the ‘Churching of Women’ – slightly adapted from the BCP focussing on the giving of thanks after the birth of a child.
Today it was for a delightful baby boy Daniel Peter, who was born 27 May. Pictured with his parents Simon and Mary Lynne Mountjoy, his sisters Rosie, Susanna and brother Phineas and Bishop Mead.
Mary Lynne’s, mother was also present – visiting from Canada.
