On Monday 25th April 2016 the Bishop visited the ACC Chaplaincy of St Mary the Virgin, Hautot Saint Sulpice, France and spent time with the Chaplain, Fr Anthony Chadwick and his wife Sophie, at their home. After a later than planned arrival because of a Channel Tunnel train delay and then bad weather (very heavy rain for at least for a couple of hours). The Bishop visited Chapel an presented Fr Chadwick with a copy of the Icon of the Baptism of King Ethelbert by St Augustine (the original of which Is to be found in St Augustines Church in Canterbury.

Commenting on his visit, the Bishop said: "It was lovely to make this, albeit brief, visitation to the ACC's presence in France. Fr Chadwick has done a splendid job in creating the Chapel. I am amazed at his skill and creativity; from the Hanging Pyx to the Choir Stalls / it has been a labour of love -- very well done Father!"
