Our Canterbury Parish was pleased to welcome to their Mass on the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels (2nd Oct 2015) guests from the Anglican Catholic Church’s Diocese of the South, USA.
The clergy included the Venerable David Kennedy (Archdeacon of the Diocese of the South – Holy Guardian Angels, Lantana, Florida), Father Nicholas Athanaelos (St Stephen’s Church, Athens, Georgia) and Bishop Edward LaCour (Episcopal Vicar General Diocese of the South). The group were in the capable hands of Br David Amson who had organised the trip.
Bishop Damien Mead celebrated the Mass and Fr Raymond Thompson, Archdeacon of the DUK assisted. Roy Hipkiss served, Andrew Butler was at the organist and Catherine Begley sang Panis Angelicus. Earlier in the afternoon the American Group invited members of the Parish to a “Meet and Greet” tea at the Falstaff Hotel in Canterbury.
