Harvest Festival in South Molton, Devon.

The Mission of St Benedict, South Molton, Devon, celebrated their Harvest Festival with 2 very special treats!

On Sunday 5th October 2014, Fr. Michael Clothier the Priest in Charge officiated at the Mission's Harvest Service in the chapel in the grounds of the cemetery in South Molton. The congregation was joined by staff and the choir from HFT, (formerly known as Homes Farm Trust), an organization that look after people with learning disabilities.

The first treat for the congregation was when the group attending from HFT sang and signed "All things bright and beautiful"

All the gifts were given to HFT.

After the service everyone went back to Fr. Michael's house, which is nearby, for tea / coffee and cake / biscuits. Father Michael has recently turned his hand to baking and had made a cake for the occasion, (the second treat!) which everyone enjoyed, and some asked for seconds!

This was another first for the Cemetery Chapel - the venue for our Mission's Services.
