The Great War Remembered in Canterbury

On Monday 4th August at St Augustine's Church, Canterbury, Kent, the Bishop offered a solemn Requiem Mass for the repose of the War Dead of the Great War. Bishop Mead was assisted by Fr Deacon Jamie Rundle. Before the Mass there was an Act of Remembrance and the names of those given to the Parish of the departed were read out before a two minute silence preceded by the Last Post. After Mass the Bishop performed the Absolution of the dead over the catafalque erected for that purpose.
