Christmas Eve 2013: The Bishop has requested this notice be posted regarding a flood warning in place for the River Stour between Ashford and Fordwich, which includes Canterbury.
God willing this flooding will not take place but with the severe weather continuing it could happen. Midnight Mass beginning at 11.30pm tonight at St Augustine's Church, Best Lane, Canterbury, Kent CT1 2JB is still intended, as is the morning Mass tomorrow (Christmas Day) at 10am.

The map shows the 'at risk' area of the City and the black cross indicates the location of St Augustine's. The Bishop also suggest anyone coming by car, even if the river hasn't overflowed, parks in the car parks on the Eastern side of the City rather than near or in the flood risk areas.

Please keep St Augustine's in your prayers and all affected by this severe weather.

Any update to the situation will be made here or on the parish's Facebook page;
