Bolton & Salford Visitations
Sunday 1 December 2013
On Saint Andrew's day, 30 November, The Venerable Raymond Thomson, Archdeacon of the Diocese , conducted a Visitation to the Mission of Our Lady and Saint Edward, Bolton. He preached at the Sung Mass, which was celebrated by Fr Howard Marsh (priest-in-charge), and met the congregation over refreshments afterwards.
The following day, Advent Sunday, he travelled to Salford and the church of Saint Alban, and preached at the Parish Mass celebrated by The Very Revd Charles Johnson (Dean of the North and parish priest). The Advent wreath was blessed by Fr Marsh and refreshments were served afterwards, when he had the opportunity to chat with the congregation.
He reported to the Bishop "A very enjoyable weekend was spent with our enthusiastic members in the Northern Deanery."
