On Saturday 14th April 2012, The Most Revd Mark Haverland visited St Alban the Martyr, Salford, Greater Manchester. The day began at 9.30am with Morning Prayer. Afterwards the Archbishop spoke to various interested people. Pontifical Mass was celebrated at 12 noon during which the Archbishop preached. He then Blessed the New Processional Cross, given by Mr David Miller in memory of his late wife Joan. Mr Edward Wilkinson was the Crucifer. The Archbishop was assisted by Fathers Jim Petty, Howard Marsh and the Very Revd Charles Johnson, Dean of the North. Photo’s were taken by Mr Robert Stevens. The organist was Mrs Jackie Wilkinson.
After lunch the Archbishop departed to Whitby with Fr.Marsh.  The day concluded with Evening Prayer.
