Fr Michaels First Mass

On Saturday 26th June 2010 the Bishop ordained The Revd Michael Colin Clothier to the Sacred Priesthood at St Augustine's Church, Best Lane, Canterbury, Kent to serve as Priest in Charge of the Mission of St Benedict, South Molton, Devon. The service began at 12 noon and was followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Father Michael celebrated his first Mass, in Canterbury, the following day, being Trinity IV. At the ordination the Very Revd Raymond Thompson (Dean of the South) presented the candidate, the Very Revd Charles Johnson read the Charge and The Rev Dom Philip James French OSB, assisted the bishop. Fr Clothier was joined by his wife Pauline and family members and other invited guests and members of the congregation.
