RIP The Most Revd John T Cahoon Jnr

Archbishop Cahoon, Metropolitan of the Original Province of the ACC, died on 4th October at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington DC, USA, where he had been undergoing treatment for brain cancer which had been diagnosed earlier in the year. He was 53.
He was born on 3rd January 1948 and was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church in 1972. He was conscrated bishop in the Anglican Diocese of Christ the King on 25th January 1986 and after joining the ACC became Bishop Coadjutor of the Diocese of the Mid atlantic States, USA in 1990. Duly elected Bishop Ordinary of that same Diocese in 1995 and then Archbishop in 1999.
